Video: Dutch national team makes statement against racism during Estonia match

Two Oranje players made a powerful statement against racism in the match against Estonia (5-0) in Amsterdam on Tuesday. After captain Georginio Wijnaldum scored his first of three goals, he and Frenkie de Jong stopped to pose with their arms against each other, to show that they are different but they are one.

What a night!! Unbelievably honoured to make my debut as captain today, to combine that with 3 goals is just unforgettable πŸ™πŸΎ So excited for the summer with this incredible squad! πŸ”ΆπŸ¦ We are one team πŸ€œπŸ»πŸ€›πŸΎ pic.twitter.com/KtuMKuiIGC

The gesture came in response to an incident of racism in a match between Dutch clubs FC Den Bosch and Excelsior on Sunday. FC Den Bosch fans made jungle noises and sang Zwarte Piet songs each time that Excelsior player Ahmad Mendes Moreira had the ball.

The incident was condemned by Dutch football association KNVB, who posted a tweet showing the Dutch national team linking hands in a circle. "Enough is Enough!! #StopRacism"
