YouTube launches music, ad-free subscriptions in Netherlands

YouTube is launching its Premium subscription and accompanying music service in the Netherlands. For 10 euros a month customers get access to YouTube Music, with which they can listen to unlimited music. For 12 euros, customers get access to both YouTube Music and YouTube Premium, which allows you to watch YouTube videos without adds, NU.nl reports.

Premium subscribers can also play videos with the app minimized, watch videos offline, and watch videos only available to subscribers.

YouTube Music uses algorithms to determine which playlists to show subscribers. For example, if you're in a gym, the music service will automatically show you a workout playlist.

Both YouTube Music and YouTube Premium are available for iOS, Android and on the computer in the Netherlands from Wednesday.
