Dutch dogs stay in Italy to search for missing girls

The Dutch rescue dogs team that went to Italy with 12 sniffer dogs to search for Koen van Keulen on Sunday, will remain in the country for the time being to help search for a missing Italian girl. The Italian authorities asked the Dutch for help, foundation RHWW said on Twitter.

The 11-year-old girl disappeared in a nature reserve near Serle, not far from Brescia, on Thursday, according to RTL Nieuws. Some 285 people, including divers, rock climbers and cavers, are searching for the girl over a vast area. The Dutch dogs and their handlers now joined the search.

The rescue dogs originally went to Italy to search for missing Dutch teen Koen van Keulen, who disappeared at Lake Garda early on Friday morning. The 17-year-old boy's body was found in a ditch on the side of a road on Monday.
