Father recognizes son, 15, on surveillance footage of emblems thief

A father turned in his 15-year-old son to the police after recognizing him in surveillance camera footage the police released of a teen stealing the emblems of 20 cars in Tilburg. The footage was shown on Bureau Brabant on Monday, Omroep Brabant reports.

The boy is suspected of stealing the emblems off at least 20 cars in the Reeshof district, badly damaging the cars in the process. The young thief regretted his actions later, and anonymously returned the emblems - with an apology note.

The police questioned the young perpetrator on Tuesday morning. The Public Prosecutor will now decide what will happen to him.
