Failed ATM bombing in Dongen; police working to remove explosives

Unknown perpetrators tried to commit an ATM bombing in Dongen on Tuesday morning, but the explosives they used did not go off. The police closed down the area around the ATM and explosive experts are investigating the explosives, Omroep Brabant reports.

The perpetrators tried to blow open a Rabobank ATM on Hoge Ham in Dongen. They fled when the explosives did not go off. The police are looking for them, also deploying a helicopter.

Three men tried a similar ATM bombing in Chaam on Saturday. They were trying to blow open the ATM with gas bottles when the police arrived. All three were arrested.
