Feyenoord fan's leg broken in hit by police van

A riot police van hit a Feyenoord fan on the Coolsingel on Sunday, leaving him with a broken leg. A bystander recorded the incident.

The video was filmed on te Coolsingel, at De Bijenkorf department store, according to AD. It shows riot police units responding to riots that broke out after Feyenoord lost to Excelsior. The unlucky Feyenoord fan did not see the van coming up behind him, and gets hit on the heel. A snap can be heard and the man collapses.

Bystanders rush to help the man up, as the police van makes a turn to drive back over the Coolsingel.

At the hospital the man found out that his lower leg was broken.

The police are currently studying surveillance camera footage of the riots to look for people committing violence. The police hope to have them arrested before the match between Feyenoord and Heracles this coming Sunday.
