Dutch pedophile sentenced to 19 years in prison, psych treatment
Dutch pedophile Pieter C. was sentenced on appeal to 19 years in prison and 15 years of institutionalized psychiatric treatment by the court in Antwerp on Thursday. The sentence is the same as when the case was first tried, the Telegraaf reports.
C. was found guilty of sexually abusing his three adopoted Cambodian daughters and two Filipino girls, filming the abuse and sharing the videos. He surrendered to the police in Cambodia and March, and was extradited to Belgium where he lives. The 61-year-old man confessed to sexually assaulting te children aand distributing child pornography.
The Dutchman's lawyer argued for a lower sentence because C. got his disorder from a disturbed relationship with his own father and he showed remorse. But the judges found this no reason for a lower treatment.
