Father turns son in for Zeewolde murder

One of two suspects arrested in connection with a dead body found in a Zeewolde home on Wednesday, was turned in by his father. The father took his son to the police, AD reports. According to a statement the father made, the murder was a result of a conflict over drugs. Other witnesses state that the man was strangled and stabbed. Several people were in the home when the victim was killed, according to the newspaper. Two suspects were arrested. The body was found in a home on Noordereiland around 6:15 a.m. on Wednesday. The police are doing a trace evidence investigation. Neighbors told AD that the home is known as a "drugs building" in the neighborhood. "If something like this happens in Zeewolde, it does not surprise us that it happened here", one neighbor said.
