Amber Alert still in effect for Insiya Hemani, kidnapped in Amsterdam

The police are still looking for little Insiya Hemani, who was kidnapped in Amsterdam on Thursday morning. An Amber Alert was issued for the 2-year-old girl on Thursday afternoon. The police believe that the little girl is with her father, 37-year-old Shehzad Hemani from India

Photos of the girl and her father were released and the police ask the public to keep an eye out for her.

Insiya was taken from a home on Anfieldroad in Amsterdam-Oost around 8:15 on Thursday morning. Three men were involved in the kidnapping. A neighbor managed to overpower one of the kidnappers. According to AD, he held the kidnapper down until the police arrived and arrested him. The kidnapper had a taser on him.

The little girl has brown hair and brown eyes. At the time she was taken, she was wearing a white onesie with pink print of the brand Petit Bateau and a white diaper.

The police issue Amber Alerts for children who may be in serious or life threatening danger.
