Two Dutch-owned F-35 Joint Strike Fighters to arrive this week
Two of the Netherlands' new F-35 Joint Strike Fighter jet's will arrive in the country in about a week for test flights and to be introduced to the Dutch public, Edwards Air Force Base of the U.S. Air Force announced on Monday.
The two F-35's will take off from Edwards and land at Leeuwarden Airbase, one of the two bases where the fighter jets will be stationed when the arrive permanently in 2019. According to Edwards, the jets will be in the Netherlands for about three weeks.
Towards the end of the time in the Netherlands, the Leeuwarden Airbase will hold a public air show in which the new jets will be included.
