Rotterdam toddler found lost in his pyjamas reunited with family

A Rotterdam toddler had his own Christmas adventure on Thursday. The police picked him up wandering the streets of neighborhood Zevenkamp in his pajamas during the early hours of Thursday morning after a report came in. As the boy is only two years old, and his vocabulary consists of mostly "mama", the officers could not find his home right away and decided to take him to the police station. Officers gave him a warm pair of socks and he could recover somewhat from his adventure. Not much later the panicked parents called in to report their baby missing, and the officer happily informed them that he was safe and sound. "After a short stay with us at the police station, where he entertained himself with a big smile with coloring books and by chasing the officers around, he could be reunited with his parents, tired but fine." the Rotterdam police write on their Facebook page. It seems that the young scoundrel managed to get out his room, put on his "naughty shoes", opened several doors - including the front door, which was unlocked because daddy was still working night shift - and decided to explore the neighborhood.
