Utrecht man still alive after getting shot multiple times

A 26 year old man managed to survive several gunshot wounds sustained in a shooting incident on Tiberdreef in Utrecht on Thursday night. The police believe the perpetrator fled in a dark colored car. A burning car was discovered in the area shortly after the shooting. The police responded to a report of the shooting around 11:10 p.m. They found the wounded victim sitting in a car. He had multiple gunshot wounds. The officers and bystanders provided first aid until paramedics arrived and took the victim to the hospital. Witnesses saw an unknown man running away from the scene in the direction of Aidadreef shortly after the shooting. The police believe he got into a dark colored car there and continued his flight. Around the same time a burning car was found on Mignondreef. The fire brigade extinguished the fire. The police are investigating whether this car is connected to the shooting.
