American tourist dead in Amsterdam; overdose likely

A 38 year old American tourist died in an Amsterdam rock cafe during the early hours of Sunday morning. The police believe he overdosed through a combination of drugs and alcohol. The police received a report that a man was ill at a cafe on the Prisnengracht around 3:15 a.m. on Sunday. According to AT5, the cafe involved is rock cafe The Cave. Emergency services arrived at the scene soon after, but attempts to resuscitate the man were unsuccessful. Detectives have investigated the case and determined that no crime had been committed, according to a police statement. The man's body has been released.
