Dutch PM Mark Rutte a happy bachelor, loves NYC eatery John's of 12th St

Prime Minister Mark Rutte is very happy as a 48 year old bachelor. Though he finds it "sweet" that people think he can be even happier in a relationship. The Prime Minister revealed this in an interview with magazine Margriet, where he is a guest editor this week. Rutte told the magazine that he gets fewer questions about when he will get himself a significant other and a family. "When I was Secretary of State I was annoyed with the psychoanalyzing because I thought: is there only one route to happiness? And must everyone do exactly the same?" The Prime Minister does not know what the future holds and whether or not it would include a wife and children. "The most important thing is: am I happy with how I live now? And I am." Prime Minister Rutte also gave insight into some of his favorite things. His favorite restaurant in New York City is John's of 12th street, because they make the best pasta. His favorite film is Hair. His favorite TV show is De Wereld Draait Door. And he is addicted to the Dutch salty snack drop, though he does not recommend it because it is bad for the blood pressure. "My advice: make sure there is always fruit near for the sweet tooth." Rutte is the youngest of seven children, his oldest brother is 35 years his senior, and apparently he was a difficult toddler. At the age of five he was sent to a special class on the doctor's advice so that he can learn to read and write. This was not because he was so clever, but according to the Prime Minister, because he was annoying. To relax after a long week in The Hague, the Prime Minister plays piano throughout the weekend. He loves Brahms and Mozart, but also enjoys Mercedes Sosa and songs like Uptown funk.
