TomTom reports record automotive orders with Ssangyong deal

Navigation company TomTom has already hauled in a record of 250 million euros worth in orders in the automotive division this year. "It is again a fantastic year for TomTom in our automotive business, where we are booking impressive progress", said CEO Harold Goddijn, according to Automobiel Management. He expects further growth in the division next year. TomTom attributes its success to recent investment in future-proof maps and the modular product range that is attracting much interest, including from Ssanyong. "The amount of orders is substantially higher than previous years. That is a good indication that our strategy in automotive is bearing fruit. It is a fascinating time for the sector and we will continue to innovate to play an important role in shaping the future of the automotive industry."
