Man dragged from car after planning rendezvous with girl, 12

A man was run off the road and assaulted on the A73 in Roermond on Thursday night. Acquaintances of a 12 year old girl found out that the man had arranged a meeting with the girl through social media and decided to take matters into their own hands, according to the police. The fight happened around 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. The girl's acquaintances followed the man from the Roermond neighborhood Donderberg. They ran him off the road and beat him up at the Roermond-Oost exit. The police had to break up the fight. The man was taken to the hospital and then arrested. The only details known about the man is that he is Dutch. He is accused of sexually abusing or attempting to sexually abuse the 12 year old girl. The police are investigating what exactly happened. The man will be arraigned on Tuesday.
