Pedophile Benno L. no longer wearing ankle monitor

Convicted pedophile Benno L. was recently released from the electronic ankle bracelet that monitored his location. The ankle bracelet was used to make sure that he was keeping to the location ban imposed on him in 11 municipalities. "The Public Prosecutor estimates that it is safe to disconnect the convict's GPS ankle monitor", Advocate General E. Hulsing wrote in a letter to the parents and guardians of the children L. had sexually abused, Brabants Dagblad reports. According to Hulsing, disconnecting the monitor is part of "a gradual transition" to L.'s unconditional release in September. Hulsing writes that L. has, up until now, shown that he takes the location and contact ban seriously. "We trust that he will also take it seriously these last two months."
