Cops not racially motivated, says cousin of man killed in custody

Mitch Henriquez' cousin Alex Dijkhoff does not think racism played a roll in the aggressive arrest in The Hague on Saturday that led to his cousin's death. One of the officers who was involved in the arrest was Aruban. So if you ask me, I do not think so." Dijkhoff said to NOS. On Wednesday afternoon chief prosecutor Kitty Nooy announced in a press conference that Henriquez' cause of death was likely suffocation, caused by the actions of police officers. Dijkhoff is surprised and happy that the Prosecutor came with an explanation so quickly. "We now at least know how it was. We already assumed that; that the police is to blame for this senseless violence." he said to the broadcaster. The family is very satisfied with the Prosecutors quick response.
