Wife arrested for poisoning husband's coffee

A 49 year old woman was arrested in Roden, a small town under the municipality of Noordenveld, on Friday on suspicion of poisoning her husband. According to the police, the 50 year old husband became unwell on Friday and was rushed to the hospital by a friend. The police arrested his 49 year old wife later that evening on suspicion of involvement in the incident. Sources around the police investigation told the Telegraaf that the the woman put weed control in her husband's coffee. The man survived the poisoning, has been discharged from the hospital and is doing well under the circumstances. The police confirmed to the newspaper that they are doing a toxicological investigation, but would give no further comment. The 49 year old woman is still in custody.
