Man grabs NS conductor by throat, escapes with emergency brake

Another NS conductor was assaulted on Monday, this time in the train between Nijmegen and Arnhem. The perpetrator managed to escape by pulling the emergency brake. While checking tickets, the conductor discovered that the man had not checked in with his public transport card. The conductor confronted the man and the man grabbed the conductor by the throat. After a short scuffle, the conductor managed to free himself. He was not injured. The passenger took off. The train had since approached the Arnhem station, but had not come to a stop yet. The perpetrator pulled the emergency brake and managed to escape. The police are currently looking for the suspect. The man is about 1.85 meters tall, with a slim build, short crew cut hair and full eyebrows. He was wearing jeans and a white T-shirt. The police would like to talk to anyone who witnessed the incident.
