Police shoot disturbed Romanian man

A 24 year old Romanian man was wounded when he was shot by a police officer in a house on Van Bleiswijkstraat, The Hague at around 15:30 on Sunday afternoon. Neighbors called the police and told them that the man was causing a disturbance. The man seemed to be disturbed and threatening. The police immediately spotted the disturbed man when entering the house. One officer fired a shot to bring the situation under control. The shot hit the man in the leg and he was immediately taken to the hospital. The national department will investigate the incident, as is standard procedure when a police officer fires a shot.
