Boy, 12, gets the drop on armed robbers

The police arrested two armed robbers in Rotterdam on Monday night after a 12 year old boy called them in. The boy called the police just after 10:00 p.m and told them that there were two men in his house on Merantistraat. His parents had opened the door when the doorbell rang and the two perpetrators forced their way into the house. They threatened the boy's mother (37) and father (40) with a firearm and an electric shock weapon. The boy, who was elsewhere in the house, saw what happened and sneaked away to call the police. The police were quickly at the scene and saw two mean meeting the boy's description near the house. The two Rotterdam residents, aged 18 and 22 years, were arrested and taken to the police station for questioning. The police are investigating.
