Man found heavily wounded in Loosdrecht house

Update: Police released a statement on Thursday at 4:49 p.m. saying that the injured man, identified as a 44 year old from Hilversum, has died in the hospital. Police found a man with severe face injuries in a house in the North Holland village of Loosdrecht Thursday. Early rumors circulated that witnesses saw police shoot him, but a statement on the Gooi en Vechtstreek police's Twitter account denied this. The man was found in a vacant house on the Nieuw Loosdrechtsedijk. Individuals directly involved in the case said the victim was known criminal Patrick G., reported Dutch regional newspaper De Gooi- en Eemlander. According to RTV NH, however, a police spokesperson stated that the identity of the victim was unknown to them and was still being investigated. The victim had tried to abduct his ex-girlfriend Thursday morning from the clothing store in Laren where she works, De Gooi- en Eemlander reported. The newspaper quoted the woman's father as saying that the victim lured her into his car and used a taser gun on her three times, aiming it at her stomach. The father reported that his daughter escaped from the car bleeding from her butt. Police could not confirm this, said RTV NH. Up until a half-year ago, the woman lived in the house where the wounded man was found, reported RTV NH. Violence was a frequent occurrence there, the woman's father stated.

Het gerucht gaat dat bij incident aan de Nieuw-Loosdrechtsedijk in #Loosdrecht politie zou hebben geschoten. Dit is NIET waar.
