Utrecht election decided by just 104 votes

The VVD beat the D66 with only 104 votes in the province of Utrecht in last Wednesday's provincial elections, Utrecht mayor Jan van Zanen, who is also the chairman of the central electoral committee in the province, announced on Monday, NU reports. The election remained uncertain and exciting until today. At first it seemed that the D66 was the winner with 8 votes more than the VVD. Then it appeared that a counting error was made in Veenendaal, and now the VVD was in the lead with 7 votes. The final count declared the VVD the winner.
