Drug lab bust nets 55 kilos of ecstasy, 200,000 euros

The police have found 55 kilograms of ecstasy,various products related to the manufacture of the drug as well as 200 thousand euros in cash on a site on Slesignerstraat in Brunssum. The police, in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense, have been searching the house and several sheds on the property since Sunday. Thus far they have found 55 kilograms of ecstasy, 45 barrels of ecstasy waste, more than 200 thousand euros in cash and a dismantled ecstasy production site. The police also found a firearm with ammunition, stamps of tabletting machines, an unknown amount of MDMA oil and 74 liters of acetone. Two people were arrested and are currently still in custody. They will be arraigned today. The police are still busy searching the site.
