SAIL Tall Ships parade extended in 2015

SAIL Amsterdam will be bigger than ever this year. The organization announced on its website yesterday that there will be an 8 kilometer parade of Tall Ships on August 19th. The Kapitan Borchardt from Poland and the Atyla from Spain will join the parade for the first time this year. Columbia's ARC Gloria will also participate again this year. "We try to provide as special and diverse lineup as possible." said Jeanette Blijdorp, who is responsible for the negotiations with the Tall Ships. The event will take place from Wednesday August 19th to Sunday August 23rd. According to SAIL's website the event was first organized in 1975 and has become the largest free event in the Netherlands.
