Yab Yum owner wants Amsterdam's prostitution business

The owner of the property where former sex club Yab Yum was located wants the property to house the municipal brothel planned by the city of Amsterdam. At this time the building on Singel is a museum. A spokesperson for the building's owner announced that they are interested in turning it into a municipal brothel. "Although the club has been closed for seven years, the institution is still completely intact. There is also still a brothel license on the premises," the spokesperson said, according to the AD. One drawback in using the location of the former Yab Yum is that the building is located outside the area that the city has designated for this operation. The city of Amsterdam recently announced that it wants to experiment with a brothel that is primarily run by women. This is to help combat human trafficking. There will be an information evening on Tuesday during which the city of Amsterdam will give information to those interested in the operation.
