Ajax supporters to get new home after arson

There is good news for Ajax fans 10 days after the fire in the home of Ajax supporters completely destroyed the building. The city of Amsterdam can finally build a new home for Ajax supporters on the other side of the arena. The entrepreneur who has been opposing a new supporters' home, has ceased his opposition. The municipality has wanted to move the supporters' home to the south side of the stadium since 2010, to better be able to prevent clashes with fans from visiting clubs. But an entrepreneur on that side of the stadium resisted the relocation plans because he fears problems from the Ajax fans. The case would have appeared before the Council of State again this month. The entrepreneur's lawyer confirmed that the man has ceased his resistance and that the supporters' home may now be relocated. In return, the entrepreneur has received promises for additional security. It is not yet known when the new supporters' home will be ready. In the mean time, supporters will probably get a temporary base.
