Second Dutchman shot in Panama

A Dutchman was shot in Panama on Saturday. He was shot in the head in a restaurant by an unknown gunman. The victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition. According to the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the man is still alive. The gunman and his helper were able to escape. Newspapers in Panama report that the victim is a 44 year old man named Jacob. The police in Panama would not confirm this information. NOS reports that the victim is the 44 year old Sjaak B., who is actually called Jacob. He is one of the suspects in the assassination process Passage. According to the Public Prosecutor, B. allegedly committed several assassinations in the underworld. The court sentenced him to 3.5 years in prison for arms trafficking. He is the second suspect in the assassination process who has been attacked in a short time. Ali Akgun was shot and killed in Istanbul on December 24th last year. Sjaak B. had a long criminal record. In 1995 he was sentenced to 8 years in prison for a murder in 1994. In 1994 he fired shots in a cafe in Badhoevedorp after an argument. A man was killed and another was seriously injured. After his release, B. built up a reputation as an arms dealer. According to NOS, B. was connected to the assassination of another Dutchman in Panama, the 27 year old Khalid Jafaar. He was shot and killed in Panama on December 27th.
