Six arrested for arson

The police arrested six people last night in Hoogkerk, Groningen for setting fires in their neighborhood. They also pelted the police with stones and fireworks. The six suspects are all from Hoogkerk and are between the ages of 14 and 39 years old. A fire was set in the late afternoon on the Nijverheidsplein in Hoogkerk. According to local residents, young people brought things to the square to set the fire. The perpetrators threw stones and fireworks at two police officers who came by. The perpetrators managed to escape. Later that night another fire was started on the Nijverheidsplein. The police intervened and arrested 6 suspects. The suspects are still in custody.
