Malaysian researcher joins MH17 investigative team

From Monday Malaysia officially forms part of the team investigating the disaster with flight MH17. This writes a Malaysian Attorney General in a press statement. The team, which now consists of Malaysia, the Netherlands, Belgium, Australia and the Ukraine, is doing a legal investigation into the crash. On November 28th the Dutch Public Prosecution told Malaysia that it can take part in the team. Thereby Malaysian investigators can play an important role in the investigation. The Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 was most likely shot down while flying over eastern Ukraine on July 17th. It was flying from Amsterdam to the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur. All 298 people on board of the aircraft died, including 196 Dutch. There were also 44 Malaysians on board.
