Rowdy passengers attack conductors for helping woman

On Tuesday night two conductors were severely assaulted by two unidentified men on Almelo station. Both conductors were injured and taken to the hospital. The police are still looking for the suspects. The two men were bothering a woman, first on the platform in Rijssen and then on the train to Almelo. The conductor of the train reprimanded the men for their behavior. He found the woman another place to sit on the train. On Almelo station one of the men attacked the conductor. When a second conductor came to help his colleague, the other man attacked him. The suspects fled when a witness came to help the conductors. Both suspects are about 25 years old, have dark complexions and are possibly of Antillean descent, a police spokesperson said in a statement. The first suspect has a slim to skinny build and is about 1.8 meters tall. He wore blue baggy jeans. He has rasta braids with a ribbon in his hair. The second suspect has a normal stature and is between 1.7 and 1.75 meters tall. He wore jeans and a sweater. He has short hair and a goatee. Both men spoke Dutch and a foreign language.
