Dutchman witnessed Canadian soldier shooting

A Dutch man witnessed the attack in the Canadian capital Ottawa. Jan Lugtenborg told the local media that he was waiting for the bus of a sightseeing tour through the city when he suddenly heard shots. Lugtenborg was close by when an armed man shot and killed soldier Nathan Cirillo at the national war memorial near the parliament. "We heard four shots, we thought it was fireworks." he said. But he soon realized that this was not the case. "We were terrified, so we obviously ran away quickly." Lugtenborg then saw soldiers arrive. "A soldier went after the man with the gun, who ran for parliament." He described the shooter as a small man with long black hair. According to another witness, the gunman was wearing a hoodie with a cloth around his head.
