Moped crashes into house, Rider lands in living room

On Thursday evening a 20 year old man on his moped came to a stop in the living room of a house on Maasstraat in Assen. The moped rider explained to police officers that he could not brake in a turn and lost control of the steering wheel. He drove across a lawn, through a garden, and crashed into the house. The man flew through a window and landed in the living room. The residents of the house were sitting in the living room when it happened. The moped rider injured his hand and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. One of the residents was also injured by flying glass and had to go see the doctor. The police are investigating what happened.
