Escaped prisoner caught in Helmond

The Public Prosecutor announced today that the prisoner from the psychiatric ward De Rooyse Wissel who escaped on Thursday during a supervised leave, has been arrested again. The man was arrested at about 23:00 pm on Tuesday night in an open field on the border of Helmond, just east of Eindhoven. At the time of his escape the man was on supervised leave from De Rooyse Wissel. According to a spokeswoman of the Public Prosecutor, he is not entirely harmless. According to the TV Program Dit is de Dag, the prisoner was convicted for attempted murder. The Public Prosecutor denies this, but would not give the reason for his prison sentence.
