D66 questioning high sick leave in gov't

The D66 wants clarification from the Cabinet over the high sick leave in the national government. According to recent figures absenteeism was 5.2 percent last year, well above the Dutch average of 3.9 percent, Trouw.nl reports. In written questions to ministers Stef Blok (National) and Lodewijk Asscher (Social Affairs), the D66 Parliament Members Gerard Schouw and Steven van Weyenberg asked for an explanation. They insist on an investigation and measures to reduce absenteeism.
