Martins Indi hospitalized with concussion

Bruno Martins Indi has sustained a mild concussion after colliding with Australian footballer Tim Cahill in yesterday's World Cup match. Indi did not fly back to Rio de Janeiro with his teammates on Wednesday, where the Oranje camp for the World Cup is based. The defender had to remain in hospital in Porto Allegre for observation. A spokesperson of the Dutch football association KNVB announced that he returned to his hotel on Wednesday evening and spent the night there without his teammates. Indi should fly back to Rio today, where Oranje will prepare for the last group stage match against Chile, who won yesterday's game against Spain 2-0. The Portuguese-born footballer was taken off the field on a stretcher after being tackled by Cahill and taking a nasty drop, falling with his head first on the ground. Martins Indi will most likely miss the next game, joining Robin van Persie on the benches. Van Persie received his second yellow card in last night's match. https://twitter.com/theScoreWC2014/status/479391282973122561 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJuDEKBqeQ0
