FIFA's Blatter fires back at Dutch official

FIFA President Sepp Blatter voiced criticism against chairman Michael van Praag of the Dutch football association KNVB on Wednesday after the FIFA congress in which Van Praag called for his resignation. Van Praag made this comment in the presence of Blatter himself. Greg Dyke, head of English football association FA, also said Blatter shouldn't run for FIFA president again next year. "This was the most disrespectful thing I've ever experienced in my entire life", Blatter told the congress during a press conference in São Paolo. On Tuesday, Van Praag said that Blatter's image had deteriorated, and that he himself was responsible for this. "Few take FIFA seriously anymore. This can't go on." Sepp Blatter has been embroiled in the controversy surrounding Qatar's successful bid to host the 2022 World Cup, as well as Russia for 2018. Despite giving indications that he wants to step down from his position in 2011, his speech at the congress pointed to a change of heart. "My mission is not finished", he said.
