PostNL apologizes for not emptying post box

PostNL has been forced to apologize for not emptying out a post box for several weeks in Spierdijk. The company will be going door to door in Wednesday to offer their personal apologies to those affected. A resident from Spierdijk, entrepreneur Ruud Hes, has been sending bills of around €30,000 that never arrived. "The steam was coming out of my ears when I discovered what was happening", he said. According to PostNL, it has not been longer than three weeks since the postbox was last emptied. The company is blaming a communication glitch for the problem. Various employees thought that their co-workers would empty the post box, but that never happened.
