Cop car torched during burglary call

Upon return to their police car, Thursday evening, after investigating a burglary report in Zundert, two police officers discovered the vehicle was set on fire. The officers were in a home on the Berkenlaan around 20:30, taking report of an attempted burglary.

Their car was parked on the Berkenlaan, between the Prieelberk and the Berkenring. The fire department arrived swiftly but couldn't prevent the vehicle from burning down completely. Forensic Investigators are looking for trace evidence, but police are also looking for anyone who may know something that can help solve the case. Tips can be called in to 0900-8844, or 0800-7000 (anonymous).
