Banksy exhibit Thurs. at Rijksmuseum

A special art piece of the mysterious, but world-famous graffiti artist, Banksy, will be projected on the façade of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam on Thursday evening, starting at 19:30, on the Museum square side. The huge projection will be visible for a couple of hours.

The projection will simultaneously appear on the Eiffel tower, the Sydney Opera House, the Red Square in Moscow, the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, Trafalgar Square in London, and in Zaatari, the largest Syrian refugee camp in Jordan. The projection is a plea from international aid organizations, directed at the international community to help find a humanitarian solution for the situation in Syria. The true identity of Banksy is not known, but his combinations of graffiti and paintings are world-famous. The artist adjusted his art piece for the occasion. The girl with the balloon got a headscarf and different clothing.
