Man with sword attacks construction workers

Construction workers, who were on the job in the center of Nijmegen, were suddenly attacked by a Nijmegen local with a sword. The builders had to barricade the door of the building they were working on and called the police.

Upon arrival the assailant had already fled, but the door clearly showed signs of indentations from a sharp object. On their way to the police station to file a report, the builders spotted the attacker walking down the street. Their pursuit ended at the NS railway station, where security officers managed to apprehend the 23-year-old suspect and turn him over to the police. It is not clear yet why the man was so angry.
