Man shot, killed in Amersfoort

Police have appealed for help to find suspects in the shooting last night that left a young man from Amersfoort dead. The body of the 22-year-old man was found on the parking lot of De Brand sports complex in Amersfoort. Officers had rushed to the scene around 10.00pm, after receiving reports of a shooting incident there. The man was already dead when police arrived. He had suffered gunshot wounds, but there were no witnesses. Police say they received a report shortly after from Leusden that a car was set ablaze at Larikslaan. They suspect the burning vehicle had been involved in the shooting incident. Police have appealed to any witnesses to come forth and call 0900 – 8844 with any information that could help solve the case.
