Puerto Rican Sent to the US for Drug-Trafficking

The Netherlands handed a Puerto Rican over to the U.S. for allegedly participating in international trading of illegal drugs. tanjila ahmed/flickr Dutch officials transferred the Puerto Rico national accused of being part of a global drug ring. Accordingly, the drug ring has been able to distribute over 20,000 ecstasy pills. On Thursday, the U.S. Marshals Services issued a statement that the suspect, Julio Rosario Laccen, is now under the custody of the U.S. government. Laccen’s trial is pending in the U.S. A year ago, he was charged by a federal grand jury of conspiring to possess with the intent to traffic Ecstasy. Authorities said the suspect was involved in a ring that manages a secret laboratory and sells drugs across Western Europe.
