KLM suspends Tel Aviv flights starting Sunday, citing operational, commercial challenges
KLM will temporarily suspend flights from Amsterdam to Tel Aviv starting Sunday, March 1, citing operational and commercial feasibility, AD reports.
A company spokeswoman told AD, “KLM continuously adjusts its global network based on market demand and operational circumstances. At this moment, it is not commercially and operationally feasible for KLM to operate flights to Tel Aviv.” Passengers affected by the cancellations will be notified and offered rebooking options.
Over a month ago, KLM had stopped all flights over the Middle East due to the geopolitical situation.
Out of caution, the airline avoided flying through the airspace of Iran, Iraq, Israel, and several Gulf countries, citing safety concerns amid rising tensions between Iran and the United States and the threat of a potential conflict. Earlier this month, flights to Tel Aviv and Dubai had briefly resumed.
