Video: 35-year-old woman arrested after death of minor in Kollum home

Dutch police are investigating the death of a minor girl found in a home on Gysbert Japicxstrjitte in Kollum on Saturday, police reported. At approximately 9:15 a.m., emergency services received a call about a medical emergency, and upon arrival, they discovered the girl was deceased.

A 35-year-old woman from Kollum was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possible involvement in the child’s death. She is currently in custody and being questioned.

Specialists from the Forensic Investigation Unit have searched for evidence both inside and around the residence.

Police confirmed the woman will be brought before an examining magistrate on Tuesday. Authorities requested calm from the public and the community, citing the need for privacy and the ongoing nature of the investigation. “All scenarios are being investigated,” police said.
