15-year-old arrested at Tilburg station for carrying large machete

A 15-year-old boy from Tilburg was arrested Monday afternoon at the Tilburg train station after police found him carrying a large machete, Omroep Brabant reported.

Police responded to reports that a group of boys was walking toward the station with a large knife.

“Multiple units were dispatched from different directions to increase the chance of quickly locating the boys,” the police said.

Officers located the group and conducted searches. During the search, the machete was discovered, and the 15-year-old was immediately taken into custody. Police seized the weapon.
