Police find a dead person in Beuningen home, arrest suspect

Police found a body inside a home in Beuningen early Sunday and arrested a suspect shortly afterward, authorities said.

The body was found around 3 a.m. in a residence on Lijnzaadveld, Gelderland police said. Emergency medical assistance was called, but help reportedly came too late, and the person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Not long after the discovery, police arrested a suspect in connection with the incident. Investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding the death.

The home was cordoned off with police tape, and a large police forensic investigation vehicle was stationed outside the residence, according to the ANP.

Police added that they cannot yet release any further information about the identity of the deceased person or the suspect.
