French police arrest Amsterdam man tied to Rotterdam murder
A 25-year-old man from Amsterdam was arrested by the French police on Thursday following a request from Dutch authorities. The man is suspected of being involved in the violent death of a 59-year-old.
The victim was found in his home on the Huniadijk in the IJsselmonde district in Rotterdam, on November 17. Following the discovery, authorities immediately set up a TGO (Large-Scale and Specialist Investigation Team). The investigation into the death showed that the 59-year-old died as a result of a shooting.
According to the police, the team has concentrated on collecting evidence, conducting neighborhood investigations, reviewing CCTV footage, and analyzing information in recent weeks.
The Dutch authorities are set to begin the extradition process for the suspect. Further arrests in this case are not ruled out.
No information has currently been made available regarding the relationship between the suspect and the victim. The police have requested that anyone with any relevant information come forward.
