Value for money: The 12 cheapest one Michelin star restaurants in the Netherlands
All the restaurants on the Michelin Star guide promise a unique and delicious experience, but often with quite the price tag. Michelin has, therefore, made a list of the 12 cheapest one-star restaurants where diners with a budget can have an exceptional meal for a reasonable price.
“Another little tip: lunch is usually the best option for culinary indulgence at a more affordable price,” Michelin said.
Amsterdammers are spoiled for choice, with five affordable Michelin-starred restaurants in the city.
The seafood restaurant Bistro de la Mer offers a starter, main, and dessert à la carte for an average of €75. There is also Choux, where the three-course vegetable and fruit-heavy theater menu goes for €52.50 and the four-course menu for €69.50, or De Juwelier, where a three-course à la carte meal costs around €70 on average.
De Kas also focuses mostly on plant-based meals. A three-course lunch there costs €53 and a five-course dinner €84. In the mood for something French? Zoldering has you covered with a starter, main, and dessert à la carte for an average of €65.
Elsewhere in the Netherlands
In Zwolle, you can get a full fine-dining meal at Brass Boer Thuis for an average of €80.
Heemstede’s Cheval Blanc offers a three-course experience for an average of €75, or pay an average of €90 for the four-course menu.
De Woage in Gramsbergen promises old favorites in a new way for an average of €75 for three courses and €84 for the four-course surprise menu.
Or try Marrees in Weert and spend €55 on lunch or €90 on a four-course menu.
If technical precision and subtle Asian flavors are your vibe, LIZZ in Gouda is the place to be. A three-course lunch will cost you €59, the four-course menu €80.
The Noble Kitchen in Cromvoirt offers a starter, main, and dessert for an average of €75, or a three-course set menu for €65.
At the Olde Mack in Aalten, you can get a two-course lunch for as little as €35, or three courses from €55.
